This is one matter of big cocern these days. Most of the kids are becoming gaming addicts. From a very young age, they learn to download games and play them.  It is very hard to keep them away from screens no matter how hard you try to divert their attention from t he phones.

Is there  any practical solution for this?

I think the easiest thing to do is to keep them busy with other things. Try to make them do some chores around the house in exchange for rewards or even screen time. And just take them outside to let them enjoy the park or some nearby attractions.

There are some of the apps that lock the device for particular time and that can also lock any form of the internet and other functionality. You can also lock the apps and the individual features if you want. I'd say that is just a band aid and not something you may find concrete in such case. And on another note I'd say that mobile apps for kids should be uninstalled to solve this issue.

I don't think mobile games are not even biggest problem anymore. Bigger problem is now Youtube. Kids only watch videos and do nothing else. I see that everyday in school and in my classroom.

Sometimes when we are so much involved on our offline work we are forced to offer screens to our kids. This is what creates the problems. We can't sacrifice our work and earnings because we need to feed them.  And to ensure that they allow us to do so we need to keep them away from disturbing us.

This is one of the things that bothered me because whenever I go home after to my offline job my kids always ask me about my mobile phone because they want to watch some cartoons at YouTube or play some games which sometimes puts me in trouble.

One way to keep kids off the the games is how my dad used to keep me off the Sega Genesis. With the belt! a good old fashioned whipped is what these brats need in the first place!

This is a good idea. But this can be done only when we have a different tablet or mobile for kids. I give my mobile to my son because I can't afford another one. So this method of locking will not work for me until a buy a different mobile or tablet.

It is very important as parents to ensure the kids have their activities planned,  with this one can limit their access to both games and other internet activities,  it is fundamental that it is not ideal to denied them cos it enables them to develop.

Yes. I agree. But there are times when it is hard to follow the schedule because we are ourselves caught in our work both offline and online. And gadgets are the only ways to keep the kids involved all.on their own.

Also another thing parents could do it take away the electronics an or just get a hammer and break them. That would probably be the best way to handle things if the kids get out of line. I mean once they see that tablet in pieces they know no more mobile gaming.

This is definitely not correct.  We can't teach the kids to be destructive.  It is very important to inculcate in them the value of money and importance if each and everything they are blessed with.

You are right @amitkokiladitya, destruction should not be the way,  I am pretty sure that if you train your children very well, there are simple instructions you will give them and they will easily adhere to it.

Their tablets and phones will be blessed with the hammer of thor if they do not get off those devices and do the bloody chores. I can tell you that much.
